Training Together

Training Together...

is a new programme of training open to anyone who attends church in the Diocese of St Asaph, on a variety of subjects. For more information, click here.

Reader ministry

We also offer training to those offering for Reader ministry (the Anglican Church's licensed lay ministry) and the commissioned ministries of Pastoral Assistants and Worship Leaders.

Pastoral Assistants

....work with their incumbent and others within the parish to offer care and support to those in any kind of need.  This is in the context of the calling of every Christian to show love and compassion to others.  Pastoral assistants rarely work on their own, but with the support of others within pastoral teams.  The training is done in deaneries, and usually lasts for between 8 – 12 sessions.  If you are interested in finding out about this ministry please contact your parish priest.

Here is a taster session on listening.

Worship Leaders

....lead and take part in services but do not preach.  They work under the direction of their incumbent and often in teams with other worship leaders in the parish grouping.  The training is for 6 sessions and covers topics such as leading worship and mission, Reading the Bible and Leading Intercessions.

Here is a taster session on Leading Intercessions.
