Real Easter Egg 2012

Real Easter Egg returns for 2012

The tastiest way to share the Good News about Jesus is back in 2012 - the Real Easter Egg returns and this year it's brighter and better!

The Real Easter Egg Company who produced the egg in 2011 have redesigned the packaging and also included a booklet with the Easter story inside as well as featuring it on the box.

For the first time ever on an Easter egg there is also a Bible verse – the resurrection quote from Mark’s Gospel.

Diocesan Evangelism Officer Revd Vittoria Hancock said:

"As a symbol of Easter, the egg is recognised throughout the world, but very few explain why we have eggs at Easter. The Real Easter egg contains the Easter story in a visual form on the outside of the box, and has a copy of the Easter story in the box this year.

“Giving an Easter egg is a non-threatening - and delicious - way to tell others about Jesus.

“This year's new improved version means that even when the chocolate is gone, the story will remain, and that has to be good.”

Parishes are being encouraged to order their eggs no later than Wednesday 7 March to guarantee Christmas delivery.

You can find more information on the Real Easter Egg website or for more general enquires please email the Meaningful Chocolate Company or call them on 0845 122 2882.
