Wrexham Churches launch Prayer Guide for Eisteddfod
A prayer guide has been produced by Churches in Wrexham to urge Christians to pray for Wales as the National Eisteddfod comes to the town for the first time since 1977.
It’s designed to help people pray for Wales and its people and contains reflections and prayer topics taking in subjects like thanksgiving, struggle and salvation. Those in charge of the guide hope Christians will use it regularly to help their devotional times.
The guide has been produced by the Wrexham branch of Cytun – Churches Together in Wales – and as ever there will be a Cytun tent at the Eisteddfod itself.
The Welsh cultural festival starts on 30 July and the Cytun tent will welcome people of all faiths or none to provide a meeting place, relaxation and refreshments.
Worship services will take place there every morning at 11am and each afternoon the tent will host talks and presentations about a variety of Christian topics.
Revd Mair Jones is the Diocesan Language Officer for St Asaph and said:
“Everyone is really looking forward to the event and they can be assured of a very warm welcome from all of us.
“I hope lots of people come along and support the week for a day or more if they can.”
