Processional Cross for cathedral - in memory of archdeacon elwyn.

 

The family of Archdeacon Elwyn who passed away over 12 months ago have given a Processional Cross to Bangor Cathedral in his memory and in gratitude for his life and ministry as priest, lecturer and Archdeacon. The Celtic Cross was blessed by the Bishop the Right Rev. Andrew John during the Choral Eucharist on Easter Sunday April 4. The engraving on the back of the Cross is as follows:

“In memory of Elwyn Roberts M.A. Archdeacon of Meirionnydd 1983-1986, Archdeacon of Bangor 1986-1999”.
