Role

The principal role or function of the chaplain is to assist in the pastoral and spiritual care of the patients, families and staff as part of the overall healing process. As part of the Healthcare Professional Team we can render valuable help towards progress and recovery, through spiritual counselling and the calming of fears and anxieties. This is achieved through visiting patients, supporting families and staff, making spiritual assessments and providing crisis intervention when this is deemed necessary.
