The Copyright Designs & Patents Act(1988) changed on 1 Jan 2011. PPL has granted a period of one year during which churches will be safe from prosecution.

Priory VA Church in Wales Primary school in Brecon, has been shortlisted in the Civic Trust Architecture Awards. A good start to 2012, with this news and also a new head teacher Mr Sam Greaseley.

Welcome to the website of the
Diocese of Swansea and Brecon
The Diocese was created in 1923 from the ancient Diocese of St. David's and comprises most of the former counties of Brecon and Radnor together with the City of Swansea, the Swansea valley connecting it with Brecknock, and the Gower Peninsula.
The Diocese covers an area of 340,877 hectares with a distance of over 100 miles from north to south. With the weight of urban life and its population in the south and the contrasting sparsity of rural life in the north, the unity of the Diocese is of great importance.
The Cathedral is situated in Brecon, which is equidistant from both ends of the Diocese. The Diocese is divided into two Archdeaconries. The Archdeaconry of Brecon celebrated in 1988 the 800th anniversary of the visit of the Archbishop of Canterbury to the home of Gerald, Archdeacon of Brecon (Giraldus Cambrensis) at Llandew near Brecon. The Archdeaconry of Gower was created in 1923 on the formation of the Diocese.
